after installing debian and apache2, i kept forgetting where httpd.conf lived.

it’s here:

/etc/apache2/httpd.conf

interestingly, in apache2, it seems that apache2.conf is where most configuration settings reside; apache2.conf will automatically load whatever’s in httpd.conf. (i can’t seem to remember there being an apache.conf in apache1.)
