“select a destination” blank in mac os x leopard installer

to fix:
click on utilities in the menu bar and then “terminal.”
then type (omitting the dollar signs):
$ df -k
$ df -k
now, quit the terminal and your drive should be present!

Did not work for me. Didn’t Change anything.

try “utilities”
disk utility
and then create a new partition.
it worked for me.
